Holbox is a small friendly island that is part of the exquisite Natural Reserve of Yum Balam of Mexico. This little -known and remarkably virgin destination sees very few foreign visitors and has only been found on the tourist map due to its excellent possibilities for observing birds and marine life. Visitors can enjoy relaxing on pristine white sand beaches, exploring sand streets surrounded by colorful Caribbean buildings, and incredible bird observation with more than 50 species of birds residing in the area, including large flocks of pelicans, flamingos, herons, pink teaspoons and many more. Ballena sharks and sea turtles are also frequently seen in the waters surrounding this idyllic small island.

Located in the Yucatan Peninsula, in the southeast section of the state of Yucatan, the small colonial city of Valladolid is one of the "magical peoples" of Mexico, a label assigned to peoples with natural beauty, cultural wealth or a notable historical meaning. The narrow cobbled streets of this small and charming city are lined with beautiful buildings of little height of pastel colors and several interesting attractions for visitors. These include, among others: the Bernardino de Siena, an ancient convent and church of the fifteenth century located in a beautiful park; a beautiful city square, surrounded by beautiful colonial -style buildings; and the San Roque Museum, which exhibits a variety of fascinating Mayan and colonial artifacts. Valladolid also serves as an excellent basis to explore a series of nearby Mayan ruins and cenotes, such as Chichén Itzá, Ek Balam, Coba, Cenotes Xkeken and Samula.

Throughout the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, the Riviera Maya is one of the most popular tourist regions in Mexico. This stretch of 130 kilometers of spectacular coast extends from the tourist city of Cancun in the north to the Mayan ruins of Tulum in the south. We will take advantage of these days free in Holbox to disconnect and relax on the paradisiacal beaches. We will walk through its lovely sandy streets, let's observe the incredible local fauna, such as flamenco and turtles, and enjoy a delicious gastronomy based on fresh seafood. In the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will go in golf cart to the port of Holbox, where we will take the Ferry back to Chiquilá. Upon arrival, a private transfer will be waiting for us to take us to our hotel in Valladolid.

Today we will discover one of the most extensive and important cities of the old Mayan civilization: Chichén Itzá. We will take a tour of this wonder of the modern world and learn about its history and its beautiful buildings. We will visit the Ball Game, the Warriors Temple, the impressive castle and the Wall of Skulls. Each of these monuments will offer us a fascinating vision of Mayan culture and architecture, leaving us amazed by its greatness and legacy.

During our tour of Chichén Itzá, we will also visit other important buildings of the site, such as the Osario, a pyramid that houses a cave inside, and the El Caracol Observatory. When contemplating this rounded structure, we will discover the advanced astronomical knowledge that the Maya possessed in their time. These architectural wonders are not only impressive, but also reveal the deep connection that the Maya had with the cosmos and their ability to study the stars.
