On the edge of Lake Bacalar, near the border with Belize, in southeastern Mexico, the city of Bacalar has impressive waters, captivating history and delicious food. Also known as the "Lake of the Seven Colors" for its turquoise and blue currents, the Bacalar Lake is the central point for many visitors who enjoy swimming in their quiet and shallow coves and try the water sports table it offers. A unique heritage offers a large number of historical sites to explore nearby, especially the collection of Mayan archaeological ruins in Kohunlich, Becan, Chicanna, Dzibanche and Chacchoben.

In the coastal city of Tulum, located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, you will find the only archaeological site of Mexico overlooking the sea. The ruins of Tulum were once an ancient Mayan fortress and now offer tourists the opportunity to soak up history before immersing themselves in the water in one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. Ocean lovers can spend time diving, snorkeling and exploring cenotes, natural wells to swim that the Maya considered sacred.
