This morning we will explore one of the most significant and amazing cities of the old Mayan civilization, Chichen Itzá. While we walk through this Site Heritage of the Unesco's World and one of the new seven wonders of the world, we will discover the fascinating history and architectural brilliance that made Chichen Itzá a powerful center of the Mayan culture.

Our tour will take us to the iconic ball game, where we will learn about the ceremonial game practiced by the ancient Maya, as well as the Temple of the Warriors, an impressive structure adorned with intricate reliefs that tell stories of gods and Mayan warriors. We will also marvel at the castle, the huge pyramid dedicated to the Snake Kukulkán, famous for its alignment with the equinoxes. Today we will enjoy our breakfast at the hotel and pack our bags to start our trip to Mérida (166 km, 2 hours), while enjoying a panoramic tour of the Yucatan Peninsula. Optional Route Tour: On our way to Valladolid, we will visit Izamal, the "Yellow City". At the beginning of our walk through this lovely town, we will be surrounded by vibrant yellow buildings and cobbled streets. Our first stop will be the convent of San Antonio de Padua, a beautiful colonial convent built on a Mayan pyramid. From here, we will enjoy panoramic views of the town and learn about their rich history. We will also go through the old Kinich Kakmó pyramid, a reminder of the Mayan past from the town. While we walk down the quiet streets, we will enjoy the mixture of colonial and indigenous heritage that makes Izamal so unique.

Today we will immerse ourselves in a City Tour to explore the vibrant heart of the capital of Yucatan. We will discover a city rich in colonial history, culture and architecture. From the majesty of the Cathedral of San Ildefonso to the charm of its cobbled streets and colorful squares, each step will reveal the cultural wealth of this place. We will visit emblematic points such as the Paseo de Montejo, with its elegant mansions and European -style architecture. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we will begin our trip to Celestún, a natural paradise on the coast of Yucatan. During this picturesque transfer, the impressive beauty of the Celestún Biosphere Reserve, home of a rich variety of exotic bird species, including the majestic pink flamingos. We will navigate through the serene salt water channels, surrounded by lush mangroves, while we observe the local fauna in their natural habitat. Today we will continue with our tour of Yucatan. We will travel from Campeche to Mérida (176 km, 2 hours). We will make an exciting stop on the way to explore the old Mayan ruins of Uxmal. When touring this impressive archaeological site, we will discover its dazzling architecture, including the pyramid of the fortune teller and the quadrangle of the nuns. This place has great cultural importance, since it is the most representative settlement of the architecture of the Puuc region.

Uxmal presents a more pure Mayan style than Chichen Itzá. Here water, earth, sun and Venus were venerated, which is reflected in the orientation and decoration of its structures. We will see their facades adorned with chaac masks, the god of rain, relief work, panels with hieroglyphs and high crest. After our visit, we will continue our trip to Mérida, enjoying the scenic beauty of the Yucatan Peninsula along the way.

We will have this free day in the charming city of Campeche, where we can explore its well -preserved colonial architecture and its vibrant colorful streets. Upon arriving at the Puerta Calakmul hotel, we will do the check-in and relax in the quiet environment, preparing for the exciting adventures that await us in this incredible area.

Today we will venture in the majestic Biosphere of Calakmul, a natural paradise full of biodiversity and archaeological wonders. We will go to the heart of the reserve, where we will explore its imposing Mayan ruins, surrounded by a pristine jungle. During our tour, we will discover the impressive structures of the ancient city of Calakmul, including pyramids, temples and palaces, while our guide will share the fascinating history of this powerful Mayan city. In addition, we will have the opportunity to observe the rich fauna of the region, such as exotic birds and monkeys, in an environment overflowing with life and magic. Today we will explore the crystalline waters of the Bacalar Lagoon.
